Moving Trip (Part 2) - Day 1

After one last look at our house (sad moment, really), Nicky and I drove out of Jacksonville this morning. We took the usual I-10 route to Mobile and then worked our way up I-65 until we were able to connect with US-45. They are nearly done with the four lane expansion - should make future trips much easier. We will be staying with Nicky's parents while things settle up at our new place. The kids seem pretty happy.

This was our last chance to enjoy the place we have come to really love since we have lived in Florida. Nicky likes checking out the outlet mall (just off I-95). I have always liked walking along the waterfront near the old fortress. Even though it was really hot, the sea breeze took some of the bite away. We will really miss St. Augustine...
