Everyone was ready to get the heck out of town by the time we all met up in the morning.  We first checked out of Lackland AFB "International Student Quarters" (Air Force Inns) at 0645 and then drove our Enterprise Rental Car back to Kelly AFB.  [We returned it to Base Operations (receipt says car checked in by 1045L but that could be the time Enterprise retrieved it).]  All we needed to do to complete our mission (NRT) was to fly from San Antonio to Atlanta.  By the time we arrived, everyone was glad to be done with our trip...

Checked out of my room at Naval Base Coronado South [at 0700L] and headed to the airplane (at NAS North Island).  After returning our rental car (Hertz) to Base Operations [at 0730L], we finished our flight planning and flew from San Diego to San Antonio. When we arrived at Kelly AFB, we realized that our favorite travel clerks had messed up royally and reserved rooms at a completely different place: Lackland AFB.  Fortunately, we had an Enterprise rent-a-car waiting for us at Base Operations.  Still, it took forever to get to our hotel, the "International Student Quarters" (Air Force Inns) at Lackland.  Luckily, I still had a chance to eat dinner with my cousin, Andy, at a nearby IHOP (finished at 2240L). After that, I went back to the CBQ and headed to bed.  What a day...

San Diego, CA (USA)

Had a flight today (NRT with Scott, Ken and Herb ?) [itinerary uncertain]. As a bonus, we got an overnight in San Diego Even better, there was a rental car (from Hertz) waiting for us at Base Operations! One downside: we stayed at Naval Base Coronado South. We got in so late that everything was closed - we had to eat dinner at the (very expensive) Brigantine.  We had fun, though, and I got to bed quite late.
