Checked out of the El Cordova Hotel at 0600L but then (before I even made it to the plane) found out that the aircraft was still broken.  That meant that we would be staying in San Diego for another day. To be honest, that actually sounded good, since the cyst on my back has gotten really painful. Used the rental car to drive over to the Balboa Hospital to ask them to help.  They were about to cut me when I got another call that our aircraft was fixed. Hoping to get this whole ordeal over, I hurried back to NAS North Island. Returned the rental car to Hertz (1020L). We departed North Island a bit later and flew directly back to NAS Atlanta.  What a trip...

Thought we would get our parts today, but it didn't work out. Instead, wasted a lot of time near the aircraft at NAS North Island.  During the day, I realized I had a cyst growing on my back.  This is a first for me but my dad had told me he'd had them before.  Hoping this doesn't affect my flying very much...  Spent another night at the El Cordova Hotel.

Checked out of my room at the Naval Base in Coronado (0650). After reaching the flight line, I found out our aircraft was broken and that we will be here for a few days. By the time I knew all the details, though, I'd turned in the rental car at Hertz (1015).  Fortunately, Nora found out we could move to another hotel that was closer to the aircraft. Ended up in "El Cordova". Dinner tonight at ["The Boathouse"] on the Marina (across from the Hotel Del Coronado)...

[itinerary uncertain] Flew (with Nora) out to the West Coast today. Finished our flying day at North Island at around 1800L. Got a rental car again (Hertz) because we stayed on the Naval Base in Coronado ("South"). Ate dinner at Miguel's (finished at 2025L).
