[up early - experimenting with Metro today on the way to meetings in Rockville - used the Yellow Line like normal, but went all the way to Gallery Place and switched to Red Line - made it out to Rockville after about 65 minutes on the train - barely missed the #43 bus and had to wait for 20 minutes for the next one - eventually made it to my meeting (nearly two hours door-to-door - experiment proves driving is better...) - meetings all day - Sabrina drove me back to metro (Braddock Road): much quicker! - Yellow Line back to car and then home]

Baltimore, MD (USA)

[up early to see everyone off - visiting most of the morning - took the family home and had a nice lunch - then drove (with Mollie) back to the Gaylord Hotel to pick up Mary and Leo - easy drive back to BWI Airport (using I-495 and I-95) - we made it on time - we had seen some huge traffic jams on the way, so we used I-97 (to Annapolis) and then US-50 back to the Beltway - back home by 1500 - watched more football until around 1900, when Bob came to get me - we drove back to the Gaylord and met Chuck and Tim at the National Pastime Sports Bar - watched Notre Dame win their 12th game (National Championship Game bound!) - got home around 2345 - watched TV until after midnight...]

Washington, DC (USA)

[woke up very early - drove back to our house to check on cat and pick up some items for the family - regular routine (work) - train nearly empty - worked from 0730 until 1330 - walked over to meet Ellen and David (and his parents) at the National Archives - had lunch at District Chophouse & Brewery - after a few hours there, we walked over to Ford's Theatre, but it was too crowded - split up and I got on the train and headed to Joe Theisman's to meet the rest of the guys - had some drinks there and then took the train to my car - headed back to the hotel - visited for a few more hours (football)]

Oxon Hill, MD (USA)

[ran Turkey Trot (family edition) in the morning - breakfast at Tim and Elizabeth's - watched parade and some football - family photo - great Thanksgiving dinner (biggest ever) - more football in the evening - went by to see family again (late)]

[worked all day - went home and packed - drove over to Gaylord National - visited with family until very late - spent night at hotel]

Washington, DC (USA)

[got up really early - drove over to National Harbor to meet up with everyone - took a bus (Gaylord Hotel provided it) into Washington - took a tour of the White House (set up by Congressman Pearce, R-NM) - Mollie did another Junior Ranger (a big one!) - split up with everyone and headed over to do a few hours of work]

Oxon Hill, MD (USA)

[after work, drove with family over to National Harbor to see the relatives (big traffic jam on Van Dorn - had to back track to Telegraph Road) - hung out in Bonnie's room]

Baltimore, MD (USA)

[drove to BWI to pick up Mary and Leo (and kids) - used Baltimore Washington Parkway on the way - drove back via I-95 - dropped them off and then went home - later, returned to Gaylord National for dinner with Bonnie, Kathy (etc.)]

Arlington, VA (USA)

[afterwork, met Randy and we drove to Shirlington (in Arlington) to have drinks and dinner at Samuel Beckett's (Irish Pub) - Tim met us later - listened to music by "19th Street" band - Tim drove me back to the Metro garage later]
