[probably drove from Modesto to Castro Valley to see my Aunt Judy and Uncle Jim - ate and drank at Spoons Grill & Bar in Fremont (around 1500L) - also bought souvenirs there (?) - then back to Monterey]

[a day off from classes allowed me to explore the coast - drove all the way from Monterey to San Simeon - at the Hearst Castle, I took a tour (1500L) - on the way back to Monterey, I ate a late dinner at Denny's in Salinas (1900L)]
