Spring Break Trip - Day 6

We started for home at 9:00.  We made good time and by 11:00 we were in New York City.  On the way to New York, my sisters and I played a license plate game.  My oldest younger sister (who is 12) won by about 50 points.  I saw an Ontario license plate.  We went through Connecticut and stopped for lunch in a Howard Johnsons' parking lot.  We had tuna fish sandwiches.  Then we went inside the Howard Johnsons and I watched kids play video games.  We went into Rhode Island after I had skillfully directed my dad out of a 3 mile traffic jam by taking a side road shown on the map.  We then decided to leave the road we were on and go to scenic Rt. 1 (interstate highway).  Then we got lost on the side roads.  Then we found our way to a road that my dad knew because we had lived in Rhode Island for a few years.  We went through Wickford to where we had once lived and we walked around in the town.  Then we drove home and ate at Papa Gino's.  Finally we got home.  So ends my trip and it was a nice one too.  Oh, by the way, we got home at about 7:00.  It took a real long time to get from N. Y. City to home, huh?!
