[we left Eugene in the morning and drove west to the Oregon Coast - visited Sea Lion Caves - spent time at Heceta Light Beach - passed Cape Perpetua - then drove east to Salem, where we spent the night with another of Mom's/Dad's friends (Barbara W.)]
