Lompoc, CA (USA)

[up early - (0830L) church service - after that we drove down to Lompoc - (lunch) - I was able to get us into Vandenberg Air Force Base - I had really wanted to see this place because it has one of the potential Space Shuttle Launch sites - we found the place, too, on the Coast Road near Point Arguelio - we had great conversations all day - this was one of the first chances I had to talk to Aunt Nelle since my Mom died (1986) - back to Santa Maria - (dinner) - went to a presentation at their church called "Heaven's Gates - Hell's Flames" (1900L) - it finished up around 2100L - more visiting (until late)]
