Olbia, Sardinia (Italy)

[After a night in the Mid-Atlantic Lodge (Air Force Inns) at Lajes Air Base (Azores), we departed for the European mainland.  Flying with Herb H. again.  Unlike normal trips, we didn't stop in Rota (Spain) - instead, we continued on to Olbia (Sardinia).  Herb had flown into the airport several times and told me about all the great things to see and do in the area.  Even funnier, though, he turned to me on short-final and said "don't expect much on the landing"...  After getting getting our tasking on the ground completed, we continued on to Sicily.  Stayed in the NAS Sigonella Bachelor Housing for the night.]
