Outer Banks, NC (USA)

Drove down to the Outer Banks today to see the Wright Brothers monument at Kitty Hawk. [Probably bought National Parks Pass] It was a warm day, actually, and the kids were very impressed with the full size replica of the Wright Flyer. We walked up to the top of the Kill Devil Hills and could see for miles. Had lunch at a restaurant with a huge windmill - seafood. Then we drove over to see the Lost Colony of Roanoke National Park. There was absolutely noone around, so we had a personalized tour from the Ranger. Two more Junior Ranger patches (not just pins!). The kids had fun today - we should come back for some swimming and beach fun...
