Grapevine, TX (USA)

We weren't far away, so we decided to end Aunt Judy and Uncle Jim's visit over at downtown Grapevine. The closest we ever got before was when we visited the Gaylord Texan hotel (see DEC 2008). It was a great experience - the little downtown is full of shops and parks. We also squeezed in a visit to an Italian restaurant that served gelato... The little gazebo in the town square was great for pictures. After enjoying the pleasant weather, we finally had to say "goodbye" - it was sad. The girls truly had a memorable visit with their aunt and uncle - asking lots of questions about my mom when she was a kid. They were sad when we had to drive away - hope it won't be long before we can get together again! Drive home was quick and easy.
