Colorado Springs, CO (USA)
Arrived early for another flight - knew it would be a LONG day! Actually got airborne early and had no problems getting to our first stop, Melbourne, Florida. Had some problems with fuel and the passengers, but got out of there close to the schedule. Weather was very nice in the area of the Space Coast - had great views of the beaches and Cape Canaveral. On our way to Colorado Springs next. Had to avoid some big thunderstorms by this point (~1200L) but made it through OK. Nice weather there, too, but windshear developing at the base of the mountains. Actually had a pretty quick stop. Wish we could have stayed, but we were still trying to stay on schedule... Next stop was Altus, Oklahoma. I had never been there before - was actually surprised there was anything in the area! Saw some big hills and good views of the Red River. Weather still good. On the way to San Antonio, we encountered the worst thunderstorms yet - but were able to avoid them all the way until just before landing. Rain and runway construction made this stop more challenging... On our way again just after sunset - dodging same weather all the way. Arrived to a pleasant evening in Fort Worth - what a relief. One of my guys came up and reported we landed "exactly on schedule" - it took a lot of work to make it happen! Lots of paperwork before I could go home. VERY tired...
