San Antonio, TX (USA)

It had been a long time since I flew, so I was very excited to get a chance to go today. Our brief was at 0730 and weather was just good enough (barely) for us to take off from Fort Worth (Carswell) on time. We started to see the ground just as we crossed the Mississippi. It was good to be back in the cockpit! Made stops in Camp Springs (nice view of DC) and Virginia Beach (pretty views of Chesapeake and Eastern Shore). Realized that it had been a LONG time since I was there... Weather wasn't too bad until we were finishing our third leg in San Antonio (Kelly) - but we made it in before sunset with some low ceilings. While on the ground, made repeated calls to Fort Worth for an indication of just how bad weather would be at home field - every clue seemed to say we wouldn't be able to land... Fortunately, we must have hit a good patch of clouds, since we made it in almost on schedule (and one approach). Finished paperwork around 2000L and drove home.
