Arlington, VA (USA)

[took the day off today to attend the memorial service for my cousin Michael - was able to fit into my uniform (yay!) - drove to Fort Myer around noon and met up with Pat, Aileen, Courtney and Aimee - met some of the other family members - the priest came from ND before his stint at the National Cemetery - the ceremony was very impressive - unlike my last funeral at Arlington (see OCT 1997), I drove in the procession (all the way across the cemetery, through the public area, to the "Columbarium" - another great ceremony put on by the Navy band (etc.) - said my goodbyes and headed home around 1500]
