Fort Washington, MD (USA)

While Mollie was sleeping in the morning, I met Kelly at Southside 815 for brunch and we watched the Redskins-Bengals Game (finished at 1200).  After I got home and retrieved Mollie, we headed into Maryland to visit three more National Parks! We first enjoyed views of the Potomac (and Mount Vernon) from Fort Washington.  We continued south and visited the Piscataway National Farm (first time there since APR 2006).  There, we rubbed elbows (and produced homemade candles) with 1770s farmers and mingled among flocks of sheep, chickens and turkeys.  At the end of the adventure, we paid our respects at the grave of one of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Stone, and visited his home near Indian Head.  The eather was awesome as we capped off the last weekend in October with lots of walking. Had another great day with Mollie and was sad to drop her off at 1700.
