New Market, VA (USA)

I woke Mollie up at 0800 and we left for Shenandoah National Park so Mollie could get a NPS Passport Stamp.  Used I-66 and drove through Front Royal to get to Skyline Drive.  That drive costs so much that it is always nice to still have our NPS Access Pass..  While visiting the Dickey Ridge Visitors Center for the stamp (and souvenirs), we hiked on the Fox Hollow Trail and that Dickey Ridge Trail (1100).  We then drove south to Thornton Gap and west to New Market.  After getting turned around on US-11, we stopped at New Market Battlefield State Historic Site.  We then ate lunch and took our time getting home, stopping for snacks and gas in Haymarket (1420).
