[drove into DC for several hours of walking - left the hours at 0930 and parked near my old office at L'Enfant - I'd planned to visit some Smithsonian museums but saw that there was some kind of fun run going on (lots of closed streets) - and, even though the weather wasn't very nice, there were PLENTY of people - I ended up walking from my car to the Capitol, then over to the African-American Museum and then through the west side of Penn Quarter until reaching 7th Street - then returned my car - at around 1130, I headed back to my house]
