[work - took Metro to Crystal City and walked around in the (sweltering) hot sun near 18th and 20th streets - found McCormick and Schmick and settled in for happy hour - Stephanie arrived at around 1630 - we enjoyed drinks for awhile - she had wanted to go home before 1900 (to go swimming) but we ended up talking for longer than that - since she missed the chance, we walked from Crystal City to Pentagon City, where she caught a bus and I got on the Metro - made it home by 2030]
