New London, NH (USA)

After work (1600), I drove to New London because I wanted to attend a Notre Dame Alumni event in the evening.  On the way, I stopped at Hannaford to pick up some food (for the potluck) - it took some time to find good things but I was successful (1645).  Next, I drove to Peter Christian's Tavern so I could meet up with Jerry C.  While waiting for him to arrive (1700), I got a call from Amanda C. so talked to her for a bit.  After Jerry got there, we had a nice happy hour (sitting outside on the patio).  At 1800, I said goodbye to him and drove (about 10 minutes) towards the Notre Dame "Student Sendoff" event.  It took place in a neighborhood next to Pleasant Pond (very pretty).  While there, I met several new people but also saw a few others I recognized from previous events.  The food was good, the music and camaraderie were nice - everyone was dressed in Irish gear.  I stayed until 2000 and then headed towards home - talked to Amanda C. again on the way.  Arrived at my condo by 2045.  It was a nice evening of visiting!
