My day started normally, with teleworking from very early. My mind was on my EVOs, though - after three VERY blustery days, I decided that it might be time to venture out on the cross country trails again. Before that, though, I kept working. In the afternoon, I departed my condo (1430) to try to squeeze in a swim at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center. Once in White River Junction, I completed 54 lengths of the pool in 45 minutes - I was quick to change afterwards and was ready to depart the UVAC by 1545. Since the Hartland Winter Trails were the closest place for skiing, I decided to drive south (via I-91 and US-5) to check out the conditions there. Things looked good! Starting at 1600, I got another hour on skis (2ish miles because of all the fallen debris) under clear skies (breezy with temps in high teens). One thing that was fun was that I followed some trails (west of the parking lot) I've never skied before. The only people I saw were a family (skiing) and an older guy (snowshoeing). Overall, the experience was brisk but not too cold on my extremities. Afterwards (1700), I drove (via US-5, I-91 and I-89) back to West Lebanon to pick up dinner at Panera. I also did some shopping (Shaws and Hannaford) before heading back to my condo. Arrived there at 1830 and resumed teleworking for another hour. It’s been a great Winter so far!
