Househunting Trip - Day 3
Woke up really early - had to get organized. Nicky and I had a nice breakfast and then headed out so I could show her some of the neighborhoods I found last time I was here (see May 2008). I had hoped to find a place in the TCU area of Fort Worth. In fact, there were fewer rental homes this time and the ones that were available were (to be frank) overpriced and tiny. Nicky began to get discouraged pretty early in the afternoon, but I took her on a tour of other areas: Heritage (near Keller), Saginaw, Blue Mound and Benbrook. Lunch was at a great pizza place in Keller. Looked around the area again all afternoon. Called it a day around 1730. Back at the hotel, we noticed that there was a restaurant called Pulido's across the street - that had $1.50 Margaritas! We decided to give it a try - and it was worth it, from the enchiladas to the sopapillas! We left around 2130 and enjoyed the restful room at the Springhill Suites at University Center. Bed early...
