Marietta, GA (USA)

Woke up in my nice hotel (Hyatt Regency Suites Atlanta Northwest at Windy Hill) at around 0600 and got all "dressed up" for our arrival at the place where I used to work. I just realized this morning that I haven't been around here for more than a few hours since I left in 2005... Lots of familiar faces when we showed up. An old buddy of mine is the boss of the place now - that was something to see. Everyone on their best behavior for us - lots of meetings in the morning. Eventually got to work looking over the safety programs around 0930. Talked with Herb, who I met here when I first arrived in 2002 - feel weird inspecting him. Got some good stuff done before lunch - we headed over to another old office of mine to check out some of the other aircraft. Lunch with Herb at Quizno's down the street - an old favorite. Back after lunch to do some more research and ask more questions... Finished around 1600 and went back to hotel to change. Ended up with everyone from work at the bar called Johnny McCracken's (on Marietta Square). Weather is great, so we were outside mostly. Chatted for several hours and then walked over to the Marietta Pizza joint for a Stromboli (good...). Back to the hotel around 2300 - bed...
