Front Royal, VA (USA)

[after finishing errands in Kingstowne, drove on Fairfax County Parkway to I-66 - stopped for gas in Marshall - drove out to Front Royal (1000L) - nice little town on the edge of the Shenandoah National Park (canoeing capital ?) - drove into the park and travelled on Skyline Drive for a few hours - stopped for souvenirs at Elkwallow - after checking out one of the tunnels, drove back to US-211 and then went down the mountains to Luray and I-81 - drove north - got off interstate just north of Winchester (VA-7) and drove east to US-340 - then north into West Virginia - got on Charlestown Pike (WV-9) and back into Virginia - exploring and wine tasting (stopped at Hillsborough Vinyards) - drove back to VA-7 (stopped for pie in Leesburg at Mom's Applepie Bakery - calls to Phil and Lee and Kim - drove east on Leesburg Pike (explored the area a little as I made my way back towards Great Falls - arrived at Kim's Parish around an hour before Mass - read for a while and then met up with her and Jeremy - afterwards, we drove into Great Falls and met David for dinner at Peking Delight (had a great time) - after that, drove back to I-495 using Georgetown Pike - talked for Brenna for several hours (mostly about High School and Virginia)]
