Oxon Hill, MD (USA)

[took care of finances in the AM - did some shopping later (prep for Tim and Elizabeth's party) - evidence of the massive storm that took out power around the city, but we were unscathed - looked for houses later in the afternoon - may have found one we can rent in a good location (called Nicky to get in touch with the landlord) - headed across the Potomac River around 1745 - made it to Tim's (at National Harbor) right as they were getting ready for the party - met some of their friends and got to see Megan (visiting this week) - found out about a travel app called "Waze" and downloaded it (should be helpful) - stayed long enough to have dinner and watch two fireworks displays down on the River (2130) - they have a great view! - drove home soon afterwards and stayed up late watching movies...]
