[worked at the office today but my heart wasn't really in it - lots of meetings and day dragged on until I couldn't take it any more - fortunately, got rescued by my friends (an early happy hour!) - took the Metro to Capitol South station and had dinner and drinks with Stephanie, Joe R., Joe B. and Jens at Tortilla Coast - headed home around 1930 - packed up for my weekend hiking trip and read more of my book before heading to bed]
