White River Junction (USA)

Today started out like a normal Tuesday, with teleworking from very early in the morning and (at 0745) a drive to the Upper Valley Aquatic Center in White River Junction (I spent 45 minutes swimming, 56 lengths!).  Next, I went shopping in West Lebanon (I was done by 0915).  I then drove home (arrived at 0930) and continued teleworking.  Before my productive work day was complete (1540), I figured out that rain was in the forecast that evening - the snow might be gone by the next day!  I decided to make sure I got one more session of cross country skiing before sunset  and drove to the big field in the nearby Mink Brook Community Forest.  In the end, my timing was very tight - I started skiing at 1540 and ended in the dark (1640); before that, though, a light drizzle tried to drive me off the field.  Fortunately, I still managed to log two full miles in my EVOs on some tracks another skier made.  Afterwards, I had to dig myself out of the snow in the parking area - glad I carry a shovel everywhere.  Still made it home by 1700 and resumed teleworking.  Hope our multi-inch base of snow stays in place through the next 24 hours!
