I had several activities planned for today so woke up early. After a bit of reading and Duolingo, I left home (0800) and drove (via I-89 and US-4) to Woodstock, where I attended Mass at Our Lady of the Snows (0830). Afterwards, I drove to Billings Farm (arrived at 0920), where I helped out at the Billings Farm Family Thanksgiving Weekend. I worked at the Kids’ Craft Table, assisting the youngsters in assembling a “woven placemat”. It was warm and cozy in the Exhibition Barn and I was surrounded by Barn Quilts made by Piermont (NH) middle schoolers. Overall, this was pretty good volunteer work! The Scoop Shop has closed for the year but I got a delicious Maple Donut reward for volunteering. Afterwards (1300), I changed clothes in my car so I could do some cross country skiing. I'd already done this a few times and knew just where to go to find the trails. After making my way back to one of the big fields behind the Farm (along the river). Between 1315 and 1445, I logged three miles (five laps of the field) on my EVOs. I've come to see these outdoor opportunities as another reward for volunteering at the Billings Farm! Conditions: temps in 20s, partly sunny, light breeze. Afterwards (1500), drove back to West Lebanon (via US-4 and I-89) to do some shopping at Staples and pick up an order from Walmart. Once finished with my errands, I drove to Hanover and arrived at my condo by 1545. Another nice day on "The Farm"!
