Time to Ski! We had a “White Thanksgiving” but I waited for the snow to set before heading outside - yesterday’s freeze-thaw-freeze did the trick of building a firm base for my fun. Spent time this morning cleaning up in my condo before driving into Hanover (parked near the Rugby Field at 0915). Between 0930 and 1130 this morning, I skied the Oak Hill Cross Country green and blue trails on the north edge of Hanover (most close to the Dartmouth Rugby Clubhouse). My time in the snow began under clear skies but clouds soon arrived. Temps were in the high 20s and this meant there was some ice in places. Fortunately, there had also been a bit of grooming done so I made the best of the rare tracks I encountered! Distances are hard to gauge on the course but I think I covered about four miles total. Afterwards, I headed straight home (arrived at 1145). Great start to the season!
