This morning, I went to Mass at Sacred Heart in Lebanon (0800). Afterwards (0845), got gas at Jake's Irving and then drove to West Lebanon to buy some groceries at Shaw's (0910). Next, I headed over to White River Junction (UVAC) to swim for 60 minutes (72 lengths, 36 laps), 10 minute sauna, bike for 13 minutes (3.4 miles), row for 10 minutes and lift weights. Once finished, I drove home (arrived at 1145). You may have noticed that the workout was not typical - I achieved a big milestone (for me) during my lap swim today: 1 full mile (72 lengths = 36 laps) in an hour! The feat was made possible by more than a year’s worth of weekly, 45 minute, sessions at the pool. Perhaps it’s not a big deal to other swimmers but it means I can still do something I last attempted at API in Pensacola back in 1992. Many thanks to Upper Valley Aquatic Center, White River Junction VA Medical Center (WRJ VAMC) and BE Fit Physical Therapy for encouraging me to improve my physical and mental wellness!
